How to Report a SMS Phishing Scams

Example SMS Scam Message;

  1. Look up the IP address using Whois
  2. Identify the hosting service
  3. Identify Phone number from Message
  4. Submit a Abuse report to hosting services and upload images and information.
  5. Report to Medicare or the company involved.
  6. Report to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam
  7. Submit IP to – https://www.abuseipdb.com or https://www.spamcop.net/anonsignup.shtml
  8. https://www.esafety.gov.au/women/lifestyle/shopping-and-banking/scams
  9. Submit to https://www.donotcall.gov.au/
  10. Email SPAM
    1. https://www.acma.gov.au/email-spam-complaint-form
    2. https://support.google.com/messages/answer/9061432?hl=en
    3. If you are using Outlook or Gmail, you can mark the email as Spam/Phishing to report it to microsoft or google.

This is a real example; I was able to get the site blocked
